Waud Capital Appoints Edward Sohn as Vice President

Chicago, February 5, 2018 –– Waud Capital Partners, a leading growth-oriented middle-market private equity firm with $2.1 billion in capital commitments, today announced the appointment of Edward J. Sohn as Vice President. Mr. Sohn will focus on originating, evaluating and executing investments within the firm’s healthcare services vertical.

With this new hire, Waud Capital has expanded its team to over 35 professionals across its investment, human capital, business development, finance and investor relations teams.

Mr. Sohn brings 12 years of private equity and management consulting experience to Waud Capital.  Previously, Mr. Sohn served as a Vice President of Nautic Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, where he was responsible for originating, evaluating and executing private equity transactions in industrials and business services.  Prior to Nautic, he was a management consultant in Oliver Wyman’s Health and Life Sciences practice, serving senior executives of companies such as Pfizer, Merck, Aetna, and various Blues plans.

Mr. Sohn holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a magna cum laude thesis, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Harvard College, where he graduated cum laude.
