Sandy Giangreco Brown
Senior Director of Audit & Revenue Integrity
As a member of the healthcare services compliance team, Sandy works closely with WCP’s healthcare portfolio companies to create annual coding audit plans for all practices and physicians and provide education assistance to staff and clinicians. She assists with due diligence and the support of the reimbursement process to support revenue integrity with compliant billing of claims to governmental and payer guidelines.
Sandy has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and medical records management, coding, auditing, and compliance. Prior to joining WCP, she provided auditing services and performed education sessions for both client staff and providers as part of the consulting arm of an audit firm. Before that, she supervised staff who audited and educated providers at a large payor/healthcare practice in Colorado. She regularly conducts seminars and workshops both locally and nationally on coding and policy. Sandy earned a BS and an MHA in Healthcare Business Administration, with a specialization in population health, from the Colorado State University System. She also holds the credentials of RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CHC, CPC, COC, COBGC, PCS, AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer and an AAPC Approved Instructor.
Outside of WCP, Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, seven grandboys, and soon-to-be granddaughter. She serves as chairperson of AAPC Compliance Committee, board member of Redemption in Action, and council member of Crossroads Church in Loveland, Colorado. Sandy also donates her time to Project C.U.R.E. and enjoys trips to serve with the organization in West Africa.
