CarePoint Partners, LLC
WCP established CarePoint Partners, LLC to acquire or develop and operate a network of infusion pharmacies in North America. Infusion pharmacy therapy involves the administration of medications and nutrients using intravenous (into the bloodstream), subcutaneous (under the skin) and epidural methods (into the membranes surrounding the spinal cord). Unlike pill-form medications, infused medicines require patient-specific mixing, special preparation, supervised administration and patient monitoring. Home therapy allows patients to receive fluids and medications without the inconvenience or cost of a hospital visit. Diagnoses that commonly require infusion therapy include infections that are unresponsive to oral antibiotics, cancer and cancer-related pain, gastrointestinal diseases or disorders, congestive heart failure, immune disorders, nutrition related problems, multiple sclerosis, hemophilia and growth hormone deficiencies.
