Alpharetta, Georgia, April 2004–Regency Hospital Company is pleased to announce the opening of a new long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital located in Macon, Georgia. Regency Hospital of Central Georgia is a 34-bed hospital located within The Medical Center of Central Georgia (MCCG). Regency Hospital of Central Georgia will provide acute hospital services to patients suffering from either medically complex conditions or recent catastrophic illness or injury that require an extended stay in an acute care environment.

The Medical Center of Central Georgia’s CEO, Donald Faulk, is very pleased about Regency coming to Macon. “Regency Hospital will provide a much-needed service to Macon and the surrounding communities. The Medical Center of Central Georgia chose Regency as the LTAC provider because of their strong commitment to providing the best clinical program to achieve good outcomes for our patients.
