Leonhard, Jr. as Chief Executive Officer of Regency Hospital of Akron, located in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Leonhard joins the RHC team with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare administration field. He has a strong background in operational and financial management, strategic planning, marketing and business development. His diverse clinical experience includes acute care, skilled nursing care, long-term acute care, psychiatric, rehabilitation, emergency and outpatient services. "We are indeed fortunate to have Robert Leonhard onboard with RHC. His experience and expertise are a great addition to our team," stated Rod Laughlin, President and CEO of Regency Hospital Company.

Mr. Leonard comes to RHC from Genesis Specialty Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer. Previously he held the position of CEO for Specialty Hospital of New Orleans, Physicians Hospital of New Orleans and University Rehabilitation Hospital in New Orleans. Mr. Leonhard has served as Administrator of Medlink Hospital and Nursing Center in Washington, DC and Chief Operation Officer of University Rehabilitation Hospital in New Orleans. He has worked as Director of Program Development and Director of Referral Development for the Rehabilitation Institute of New Orleans.

Robert Leonard is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician. He earned an MBA from Tulane University, a Master of Science in Cardiopulmonary Physiology from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Cardiopulmonary Sciences from Louisiana State University Medical Center.
